Gül was welcomed by Queen Elizebath II and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh with official ceremony. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh welcomed Gül and the first Lady at the platform in the reviewing ground.
The arrival of President Abdullah Gül and Mrs.Gül were also hailed by a 41-gun salute at the Green Park and a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London.
Following the playing of the Turkish national anthem, President Gül, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh reviewed the Royal Guard of Honour.
British Prime Minister David Cameron, Foreign Secretary William Hague and Home Secretary Theresa May were also present at the welcoming ceremony.
The convoy entered the courtyard of Buckingham Palace with the military band playing the Turkish national anthem.
While the Queen had a white dress and a hat on, the Turkish First Lady was seen to opted for a grey dress.
The platforms set up in the reviewing area had the colours of the Turkish flag, rad and white and each had the presidential coat of arms on them. TRT
